This has been a great trip to San Diego! In my last four events I have finished 8th, 7th, 4th and now I can add a 2nd place finish at Rancho Bernardo. The course was absolutely amazing, in both great condition and with pretty surroundings and I had a great time out there playing. The weather was very up and down, with lots of rain coming in on Monday, but luckily I have played plenty of tournaments in those kinds of conditions in Denmark, so I managed to play really well despite a slightly flooded course.

I found something to use with my putter during this week and it turned out to work really well for me. I got my confidence back on the green and this seemed to translate to the rest of my game as well. I played great during the first 2 rounds as well as the front nine on the final day, being 4 under par total. Unfortunately I was not able to keep up my game on the last nine holes, struggling to get up and down, and ended the tournament in 1 under par. I was only one shot back before the final round, but there seemed to be some speedy over Laura Gonzales (who won) on the final day, and my own game considered I was very happy with the result.

The field had so many great players in it, and it is such a confidence boost to know I am able to not only keep up but actually to be able to play for the title in such an event. Especially as I know I will be going into LPGA qualifying school this summer, which will feature a lot of the same players I am sure.

As a team we did great finishing 10th after being ranked 15th out of the 17 teams so hopefully we can keep the momentum going all the way in to conference. Winning that tournament as a team would be huge for us. So all in all it was a lot of fun to play in San Diego, but now I am also ready for a well-deserved break. We have the weekend off, which will mark the first weekend off in over a month, so I am excited to actually get to relax a little.

Thanks for following!
